Q&A
How do your pieces come to life? Tell us one interesting thing about your creative process?
"Combining the stone and wood is like putting together a puzzle. Using different types of stone to fill certain voids is a process. Consider the void in the wood, the shape and color of the stone, do multiple stones work better; all part of the process.
A piece of buckeye burl sat on one of my workbenches for six months before I found a combination of stone I felt worked. It was a process and a client who purchased another piece saw it and fell in love with it! I never rush the process as it needs to be right."
