Inspired by the unique patterns in modern architectural masonry, a striking overlay of vertical and horizontal lines that play with subtle changes in texture.
Incorporating a hand curated selection of wool and yarn, including organic cotton, organic merino wool, Italian cotton, botanically dyed merino wool, Alpaca wool, Cormo silk and natural linen, each chosen to compliment and bring cohesion through both the use of colour and texture.
A contemporary mix of traditional weaving and fiber wrapping techniques that allow for a sculptured finish, a statement quite different from my previous work. I enjoy the challenge of pushing the boundaries of traditional weaving methods to develop new and exciting art works, each truly one of a kind.
Mounted in a bespoke handcrafted natural oak frame and finished at the rear with backing felt, portrait and landscape metal hangers, includes artist signature tag.
