I created my “Looking Forward” series during the beginning of the COVID-19 quarantine. What I see in my community and communities around the world is an overriding unity. People are taking action to benefit the common good. The staying still is actually all of us Looking Forward together.

My colors are colors that bring me joy, hope, and peace. I hope that they do the same for you.

Cait Courneya is an award-winning artist, illustrator, and pattern designer based in Minneapolis, MN. She works full-time out of her home studio. Inspired by color, minimalism, and the desire to bring a sense of calm to the home, Cait strives to blend Art & Life together through her paintings and textile goods. Her color palettes evoke warmth and joy, and are often the starting point for her work. Her mantra is a quote from Pablo Picasso: "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life".
