This mural is located on the Mel Fisher Treasure Museum in Sebastian Florida. It tells the story of why the area is called the "Treasure Coast." The mural was painted over three months in the artist's studio and installed at the site with a special adhesive. This type of mural is unique because of its longevity. The materials are impervious to decay...made from a poly fiber and attached with an adhesive that is part rubber and plastic. The paint is embedded into the cloth and cannot be scraped off and will not flake off with time. The installed mural is coated with a UV protective coating to extend the life of the pigments. This material can be installed on any wall type. The Treasure Coast mural was installed on a stucco wall facing the Indian River. The images tell the story of the 1715 Spanish Fleet that sank in the Treasure Coast area and how the recovery of the treasure from these ships continues today.
Price is dependent upon the location of the install; how large the wall is and what subject matter is included. Please inquire from the artist if you are interested in a mural installation of this type.
