"I believe art is part of a self-care practice that changes the way we see, think & feel - and ultimately changes us!"
Hello and welcome! I’m Jessica, an artist living and working in Portland, Oregon. I’m so glad you found me! I believe art is part of a self-care practice that changes the way we see, think & feel - and ultimately changes us! My colorful, modern, meaningful work is informed and inspired by color sensation, minimalism, and experiential “light and space” art movements. I work on each image until I feel everything click into place: that feeling of “rightness” tells me it’s done.
My hope is that as my collectors live with these pieces, they serve as a visual invitation, a portal, a totem: a way of reminding us of what’s possible, getting more deeply attuned to the joy, fun, adventure and wisdom that comes with exploring who we are and who we can become.
ABOUT THE WORK
I create the majority of my work digitally on a touchscreen with my fingers. The techniques I've developed over many years are a hybrid of painting, screenprinting and collage. I then print the images using pigment ink on thick, 100% cotton fine art paper. Each of my pieces is an original work; the completed pieces are completely archival. I hope you enjoy your time here and connect with what you see — reach out with questions anytime!
