About: If you are an artist or any sort, or simply appreciate good quality and unique piece of art - then you will love this soulful and funky village rug woven with an abundance of joy and pride. The entire rug is inspired by her environment. You will even see abstract landscape weaving inside the medallion of the rug; greens, yellows, beige, and red. You will see trees, barns, tents, birds, animals, birds, the phases of the moon, running water motif, mountains, and even a hybrid motif of the comb that signifies purity, and this motif in the rug is connected to a scenic piece of land which to me indicates it was a place that was very sacred to her, maybe her home even. Really a wonderful story rug that is jam-packed with folklore. You will also notice a strikingly beautiful band of TEAL abrash getting through the charcoal sky - pretty incredible. Each of the large flower motifs at the top and bottom of the rug has lavender plums, eggplant, teal, beige, and a few other colors - it is amazing to think how decorative just one flower of the rug is. You'll see spring greens and yellows all throughout with the best purple you can ask for! Along with that, half of the rug is denim blue and the other half is a nice charcoal black in the field. SENSATIONAL village rug for the heart, eyes, and soul!
This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available.
Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
We always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding.
