This is a series based on mans interactions with the world around him, it is about our nature...with nature.
We are able to have a reverence and respect for the natural world, while at the same time extracting what we need and building those extracted components into something much more beautiful or useful to us than the materials it's made from.
Can we learn to balance our need for a sustainable world, with our nature of using the world around us for our own ends?
This piece features a spectacular piece of figured purpleheart wood. The wood is an amazing reddish/purplish color, depending on what light you have on it and at what intensity. It will need to be properly lit wherever it is hung to get the most color from the wood.
