The Bass Musician sculpture is of a role model, a woman bass player is not common, however our friend plays mostly classical music on a beautiful antique instrument but isn’t above plucking a little jazz improvisation with a beat. The sculpture has a mood of concentration and immersion in the music, something that the artist became familiar with at concerts and by delving into classical music sources. She explored the varying sizes and shapes of stringed instruments, as well as their sounds and the skills needed to coax music from them. This exploration inspired her series of musician sculptures.

""Dina Angel-Wing has focused on creating three-dimensional art that appeals to different senses. Her sculpture aims at a visual experience that is both aesthetic and intellectually engaging, it can be representative, symbolic, or humorous while juxtaposing soft curvilinear figures with architectonic stands that contrasts rough weathered steel with smooth bronze.

Her portraits interpret a sense of the person while capturing a lively personality from life sketching or researching old photographs and interviews, with the final cast in bronze."
