Wild and free! This stately Buffalo honors the native creatures that roam our vast land. It's a strong freestanding piece that easily acclimates to many artful habitats. It would make an entryway more inspiring and bring strength to home office decor. The buffalo is at home in both the great indoors and the great outdoors. It can be placed in your porch entryway or patio living area. The piece would make a very special husband gift or fathers day gift.

The Wild Buffalo is made with reclaimed metal. We hand draw the pattern on the metal with soapstone and cut with a hand held plasma cutter. We then hand hammer and weld it into shape.

Each piece will have subtle variations. They are cut by hand and each piece of metal has slight color differences. The metal is sealed with a water-based enamel.

Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. If outdoors, you can maintain a shiny metal look [entirely optional] by applying a clear metal enamel, available in a spray can at your local hardware store.

using simple tools to make handmade, authentic pieces of art

We are Ben and Kate Gatski, self-taught artists who love using simple tools to make handmade, authentic pieces of art. We live and work on a hilltop in rural Pennsylvania. There, we handcraft sculpture and furniture with reclaimed materials (weathered steel and barn wood) and raise our three children. We established Gatski Metal in 2003.
We see beauty and inspiration in our surrounding landscape, our rural lifestyle, and the reclaimed. And we want to share that with you. Our home and shop sit at the top of a hill, overlooking forest and fields. We often find ourselves creating pieces based on what we see (or can imagine) before us. We believe in bringing you (our customers) pieces that make you happy and that you can enjoy forever. Each Gatski piece is built to last — so it can be a part of your story for a long time to come.
