White crackle cube vase - Vases & Vessels

Original porcelain vase in a cube design with a white crackle texture glaze over black. Each vase is made by hand, manipulating square porcelain slabs to create the cube shape. The inside is glazed and watertight. The White Crackle design is represented by a highly textured opaque white glaze in the shape of small islands floating on a black glossy surface. The white glaze is specially formulated to shrink a lot more than the clay body during glaze firing, thus prompting the formation of a pattern that is unique to each piece. The result is a high contrast textural surface with a modern flair. For some it reminds them of tree bark or a parched ground, and others a snake skin or falling snow. Whatever form it takes, the White Crackle design is sure to bring attention to where it is located. Please note: each piece is handmade and unique with its own crackle pattern.
