This work is a limited edition giclee print on archival cotton rag paper, signed and numbered. The image size is 8" X 10" and the paper size is 10" X 12". The original painting is part of a series titled, "Village View", created upon arrival in New York City. This series is inspired by jazz music, developed in conversation with a series of drawings created in cafes and in observation of daily life, capturing fugitive glimpses soon to pass, fresh moments in the mist of constant busy-ness. I strive to find visual patterns like chords in a song, harmonies in the rhythms of color, mark and shape.

I explore color in my work to illuminate the terrain of the subconscious, cinematographic “snapshots”. Inspired by music and dance, my marks resonate like patterns of song, poems from my experience, travels, dreams, and buoyant desires.
