This gorgeous installation of three has to be seen in person to be appreciated! There are so many sweet details to look at. I drew inspiration from nature; from ice formations, crystals, layered white mushrooms, ideas are everywhere around us! I combined free motion embroidery on my sewing machine, with semi-translucent plastic, tipped with silver oil paint. Each one is sunk into resin, creating depth and visual interest. It can hang in a variety of different ways…square-ish (as pictured), horizontal, vertical, or split the pieces up and hang in different areas! The biggest piece measures 21" X 16", the medium-sized one is 11" X 16", and the smallest is 9" X 14".
