This is a multi-paneled piece, three deep, that can be hung a variety of ways- in a grouping, split up, horizontally or vertically. I wanted to do something quiet, yet still a bit aggressive and commanding; a pop of red accents it. These pieces I make that are of this series draw viewers closer; what looks like a painting is actually a mini world of mixed media and stitching that holds viewer’s attention. Materials: Plastic, metal-framed panels, thread, assorted fabrics. Technique: Free Motion machine embroidery. Hangs from L hooks that screw into the wall, one at each top corner of the grouping. Commissions welcomed in different colors.
