The Sony Centre for the Performing Arts is a historic mid-modern theatre in Toronto, ON, Canada. The CEO of the Centre commissioned a public artwork of the building to preserve the structure's architectural history before a modern addition was built by the architecture design studio of Daniel Libeskind.
“I was impressed by the originality of Heather's artwork after seeing her work in a Toronto exhibit. I commissioned her to create a wall-sculpture of the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, formerly known as the Hummingbird Centre. We are extremely happy with the artwork, as she successfully captured the essence and detail of a historical and integral building of Toronto's architectural landscape.
