Handmade Bespoke Lighting and Custom Fiber Art

Jennifer Isbell is a multi-disciplined artist living in the Mojave Desert of Southern California. Jenn has been passionate about the creation and elevation of fiber and textile art for more than 2 decades.

Hailing from Chicago, she is primarily self-taught. She briefly attend The School of the Art Institute (SAIC), but preferring a less structured approach toward learning, Jenn struck out on her own and sought the company of other artists she admired. It was among these kindred spirits that she honed her craft in loom weaving, knitting, hand embroidery, and tufted rug making.

In 2015 she created Sand+Suede, the banner that her studio has operated under for the past 9 years. She now successfully combines her love of fiber art with her passion for lighting to create some of the most unique and skillfully crafted pieces of illuminated art available in the marketplace today.
