Melissa Mary Jenkins is an abstract artist and natural ink maker based both in Erin, Ontario. Melissa’s abstract work reflects the strong pull of the natural world encircling her. She “thinks in paintings” and crafting ink from her natural surroundings creates a full circle experience for Melissa.
“The true essence of beauty is found in the flow of imperfection.” – Melissa Mary Jenkins
The "Fluid" series celebrates the serendipitous fluidity of natural inks and the freedom found in leaning into “the flow.” The lines signify how freedom can also be found in the messiness of imperfection.
