The Desire to be in Control #10" is a white-on-white clay wall sculpture created on a professional 8"×8"×1.5" canvas, ready to be hung.
📌This wall sculpture is a series. This one will be number 1. They will be made to order, signed, and numbered.📌 I can create several pieces for you so that you can hang them all together. I have an example of 3 wall sculptures hung together in the photos.
📌No pieces will be duplicated, and each will be unique. 📌I won't copy my work!📌
📌Photos show an example of color and design.📌
📌Copying and free creating are two very different processes. I will make for you a sculpture in my style, close but not exactly the same as in the example photos. Only this way will every collector own a unique piece📌
We all have our limitations.
Each of us. You name it.
We live in a mortal (healthy?) human body, a random combination of our ancestors' genes. We happened to be born in a specific country at a particular time; our race, ethnicity, and cultural background also happened to us. We can also not control thinking; it happens to us as digestion does.
Our reality is beyond our knowledge to a greater extent.
We feel it.
We are simple, imperfect, and impermanent, and we know it.
We all have the desire to be in control. We know we can control barely anything, but we still try to.
Nevertheless, because of all this, we all feel our completeness and are infinitely beautiful in our fragility and mortality.
We are in this together.
The spiky sculptured elements represent this attempt to control and show how deeply rooted we are in our background. The sculptured elements are arranged in a circle to show our limitations and to convey the feeling of completeness.
I am an award-winning meta-modernist artist. I work in that sweet spot between painting and sculpture.
I have had works appear and win awards in juried art shows across the US, shown with selected galleries, including Solo and Duo Exhibits.
The artwork is protected from UV rays against fading and dust with coats of varnish.
