This steel dress is based upon dresses designed around the time that Anne Frank was alive. This dress is on permanent display at Arboretum Park in Dix Hills New York and represents the loss of an innocent soul in her vibrant youth, an apparition, a life cut short. The armor-like dress appears protective but the seemingly soft lace like holes express our human vulnerability.
