Trama Textiles x DittoHouse
The Stripe Blanket was handwoven on a peddle loom by Jairo, a Kaqchikel speaker, in Solola, Guatemala. The Stripe Blanket has an op art quality, bold stripes of brilliant color tethered to black and white stripes. Jairo opted to use a black fill thread that grounds all the colors, bringing the technicolor stripes back to earth. The Stripe Blanket is a lightweight, crisp cotton. It makes a big statement wherever- at home or on the go as a travel blanket.
Jairo set the price, minimum quantity order and production lead time on this blanket. Products were paid for in full by DittoHouse before production started.
50% of the profits of the stripe blanket will go to Trama Textiles’ Almaya Fund which aims to provide members of the Trama Textiles cooperative with access to health & welfare services, professional development and adult & child education, to improve health outcomes and end the cycle of poverty in communities.
100% cotton
Handwoven in Guatemala
36”x80”

Slight variations are expected and enjoyed, considering this is a completely handmade product.
