Handpainted canvas contemporary floorcloths, placemats and coasters

I’m Kelly O’Connell, the designer and hand behind the brush at OTSI design. I grew up in a New England home decorated with early 19th century primitive and Shaker antiques. Many rooms featured early American style floorcloths, decorated with traditional stencil patterns in earthy colors. The elegant simplicity of the objects in my childhood surroundings formed the basis for my personal design aesthetic but I leaned towards a lighter, brighter approach. This has only been furthered by my years living in California. I have always loved the beauty and utility of painted floorcloths and sought to create a collection of fun, contemporary designs.
