Store Mural - Street Murals

Featured In Flamingos vintage pound austin, Austin, TX

Price from $5,000 to $50,000

Creation: 2-4 weeks

J Muzacz spent a few weeks back chipping away at this entire building takeover for Austin’s first Flamingos vintage pound Austin store. Right on the drag by UT Austin this project was interesting because J Muzacz got to blend lots of different processes while working with a bunch of friends, the talented up and comer MOSH and Carmen Rangel on the lettering and Nerd For Cakes on stencil work.. who also made the badass cake art for the grand opening. Got to meet the infamous worldwide king of vintage himself Dani Flamingos from Spain and put up these Miami-meets-Southwest vibes on the hallowed walls of the old I Luv Vintage location.

Collaborator: MOSH @moshskullz; Carmen Rangel @vivalapainter and Nerd For Cakes @nerdforcakes

Painting/Mosaic, Public and Community Art

J Muzacz is a muralist, mosaic and public artist, community art advocate and educator. Originally from Houston, TX and a graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in Sociology, Muzacz has since travelled extensively and lived abroad painting numerous large-scale murals in places as far reaching as Taiwan, New Zealand and Okinawa, Japan.

He is co-founder of The Mosaic Workshop, an artist-led open studio space at Something Cool Studios in East Austin teaching the process of public art from concept to completion through hands-on experiential projects of monumental scale. In the studio, Muzacz’ brightly stylized stained-glass painting works are defined by cultural universalism with a celebratory tone.
