Natural Fibers, Ink on Birch Board in a Standard Ply Frame

Starting Over Series is currently available. The Starting Over Series was inspired by my cross-country move to NYC from SF. I used the meditative practice of weaving to process this big move. I would be happy to work with clients and designers to create custom woven tapestries for an artisanal touch to your room.

New York based artist creating refined hand-woven wall hangings, decorative objects, sculptures & functional furniture

I am a New York based artist and designer creating craft-inspired functional objects, sculptures, wall hangings and large-scale public installations. The most prominent thread in my recent work is bringing visibility to Filipino-American craft and culture through mixed media sculpture. In this process, I experiment with unexpected interactions between material, form and narrative to weave together past with present.

Select artist residencies include: Haystack Mountain School of Craft Open Studio Residency (2024), Institute of Contemporary Art SF, Meantime AIR (2023), Socrates Sculpture Park Annual Fellow (2022), Monument Lab Fellow (2019)

My work has been featured in Vogue, Hyperallergic, ArchPaper, Domino Mag, Sight Unseen, NY Mag's Curbed and KQED. I've exhibited my work nationally, including institutions like Socrates Sculpture Park, Institute of Contemporary Art San Francisco, Patricia Sweetow Gallery, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and High Line Nine Galleries.
