"Solitary Pear" is an original watercolour painting by professional Artist Brazen Edwards measuring approximately 9" x 12" (22.86cm x 30.48cm) on Yupo paper.
This piece is part of my series of peaceful still life paintings of various fruit that's local to the Okanagan. I grew this lovely Bartlett specimen on my very own fruit tree, then painted it shortly after it ripened.
Displaying produce is considered extremely auspicious in Feng Shui, they bring prosperity to the family and symbolizes great success in the near future. You can display images of fruit anywhere in your living room, but they are most auspicious in the kitchen or dining room.
Since the watercolour paint hasn't permeated the paper, I've finished it with a professional clear matte varnish to protect it. This painting is unmatted and unframed, allowing the buyer to choose based on their personal taste, style, and decor.
