About: Truly a fantastic rug, one of my favorite smalls that we have. I have a very soft spot for these deep and luxuriously moody pieces. Lustfully deep inky-blue black field with rich reds, rusty reds, and nice warm tones that contrast - all softened up with aa earthy honey and antique beige throughout. Beautiful salmon pink and cool lake blues add some really nice interest to each motif, and that mocha you find grounding it all throughout is the perfect buffer color for the entire piece. And of course, the design is so lovely. Pure romance, pure poetry, and just a symphony for the eyes. Botanical and growing throughout from every direction, shrubs, trees, flowers, and vines moving ever so lovely in an organic and freeing way. Nice structured border to try and contain this wildly open field. You will spot the iconic fence design around the perimeter as well, the design and a symbol of protection - the weavers perhaps wove this around the border to protect the rug from negativity - how incredible is that!? This wool is unreal to the touch. So much lanolin in it giving it it's sheen and softness. So plush, as this wool amongst the greatest wool that rugs have ever been woven with. So, where ever you put this, I hope you get to walk on it barefoot, and I hope you get to see it often - it's pure gold!
This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available.
Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
We always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding.
