Slumberous Garden Nymph, $16,000 framed in white, 42” x 54”, for purchase information please contact the artist on my contact page. Framed in white wood size
The drawing of this artichoke began during the Covid-19 outbreak in early July of 2020. It took 4 months, 103 drawing hours on Coventry rag paper. The media is graphite and acrylic. The art is 38x50 and will soon be framed. I have always hidden some things in my drawings and this one is no exception. She is easy to find and sleeping under a leaf. This artichoke was planted in my garden the fall of 2019. The top artichoke was harvested, brought home and photographed on my kitchen counter and she became my muse for this drawing. This was her first year to bloom and not eatable but she became the most majestic plant in the community garden, with over 17 artichokes that had extraordinary purple blooms. Once the blooms had dried, a video was co-created with a friend titled the Flight of an Artichoke Seed. You can see that under the video section of my website.
