Designed for You, Never Replicated
Jeff Brunette is a Colorado-based visual artist with a focus on wood as his primary medium. His creative career began in 2007, receiving a B.A. in Graphic Design, and started working for an advertising company. But, Jeff soon realized that a career as a graphic designer would not sustain his creative ambitions and made a decision in 2010 to study Landscape Architecture. Thus, allowing him to combine his passion for design with an ever-present interest in natural elements.
Jeff received his Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Colorado-Denver in 2014, and upon graduation, he helped grow a startup design firm out of Fort Collins, Colorado, and then helped open a second office in Denver. His work can be found locally, nationally and internationally in botanical gardens, sensory gardens, and public spaces with several projects winning awards from the American Society of Landscape Architecture.
In 2018, Jeff got his first taste of fine woodworking and found that this is where his attention to detail, affinity for nature, and passion for design came to the surface at once. Soon after, Jeff began wondering about the possibility of working with wood through an artistic lens. That opportunity came in 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic impacted the world and many found themselves without a job, including Jeff.
With hesitation at first, Jeff realized the opportunity to pursue woodworking as art was undeniable, and joined a community woodshop to test out his craft and vision. Strong and positive responses to his style pushed Jeff to procure the tools and means necessary to set up his own wood/art studio in Arvada, CO, where he currently turns up the sawdust.
Since becoming a professional artist in July of 2020, he has sold multiple pieces in Colorado and across the country, and in July of 2021, Jeff was selected as Ten of The Best Creatives at the RiNo Showcase located in north Denver, CO. He has experienced continuous growth since, mainly through residential commissions while also collaborating with a celebrity interior designer and art curators.
