"Silo: Monolith Series"

A harmonious fusion of natural materials and contemporary design, this conical stool redefines modern luxury with its refined simplicity. Crafted from eco-conscious hempcrete, a sustainable composite known for its strength and insulation properties, this piece is as functional as it is forward-thinking. Its sleek, polished gray lime plaster exterior adds an elegant touch, offering a soft, sophisticated sheen that complements both minimalist and industrial interiors.

Ideal for high-design spaces, this stool's clean lines and timeless aesthetic bring a sense of understated elegance to any room. Whether used as a statement piece in a living room, a chic accent in an entryway, or a stylish addition to a lounge area, it seamlessly integrates into various environments. Its tactile finish invites both visual appreciation and a sense of calm, while its solid yet lightweight structure makes it both a practical and sculptural addition to your home.

Embrace refined design with a focus on sustainability — a stool that embodies both beauty and function, without compromise.

***PLEASE NOTE***
Our hemp furniture is made to order. The raw forms are plastered and polished by hand and each piece will vary slightly in its imperfections. Minimum lead times are 12-14 weeks depending on the time of year (summer / winter). Hempcrete must air dry slowly in order for the material to naturally carbonate by absorbing ambient CO2 and calcifying back into limestone. The process cannot be accelerated artificially.

LIRIO Design House is a contemporary furniture studio specializing in small batch production and bespoke handmade furniture
suitable for both designers and private collectors who are looking for a minimal, elegant and modern look.
We believe in having fewer things in your life, just better things.

Along with specializing in solid wood furniture, we are currently developing our new line of HEMPCRETE based furniture and objects.

HEMPCRETE is a light weight, carbon negative material that can act as an eco-friendly alternative to concrete. It is composed of industrial hemp shiv, lime binder and sand, which can be specially tailored for particular applications. Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. A list of finishes and colors are available upon request.

These pieces are designed and handcrafted to be heirloom quality while also simultaneously being conscious of the end-of-life cycle that all material objects meet, no matter how far into the future this might be. This furniture can be broken down and disposed of easily with small hand tools and left to decay back into the ground without consequence. It is our first line of furniture and home objects that can be discarded without worry or guilt of polluting the environment or contributing to landfills.
