A one-of-a-kind, modern daybed, built on an upcycled vintage army cot, tansformed into an interior essentials with the hand-cut veg-tanned leather strapping. An elegant investment piece, built to last. The frame is circa 1940's and has been salvaged, sanded and refreshed to remove the ‘wear & tear. The rubbed finish leaves a hint of its past; we’ve added brass hardware to give contrast and an elevated feel which also honors their service. Hand cut, undyed, veg-tanned leather strapping is woven and secured with more brass hardware to create the perfect, bench or chaise seating.

The leather will age and change in color to a richer, honey hue. The naturally occurring range of color in the leather moves across the weaving, creating a gorgeous high & low effect that evolves and deepens with time.

Veg-tanned leather is universally regarded as a more environmentally friendly option and is biodegradable due to the natural substances used in its creation. Robust & strong, this leather will hold up over a lifetime. Our cots should be treated with oil to care for the material and keep it from drying out; the leather will develop a unique patina, which adds to its character.

We make a practice of ‘returning the hand to the made.’

Luxury Reimagined

I find beauty in the everyday objects that surround me. The width of a stitch; the nuance of the ‘perfect’ color; the mix of patterns and textures in nature and beyond. Walking through my beautiful city inspires my creative process as much as playing with materials within my shop.

I’ve always been a collector of tiny objets to large pieces of furniture. With so much beautiful design surrounding me, I thought there was an opportunity to reimagine how we might create modern, upcycled pieces for their next chapter.

Grange Home was born out of that curiosity—featuring one-of-a-kind Home and Lifestyle designs that support environmental health from different angles.

Made slowly, to order; of natural, regenerative, or upcycled materials; Grange Home products are good for you and our planet— and that is a true modern luxury.

I’m proud to work with a local ecosystem of tradespeople, ranches, and suppliers to create my designs, and I manufacture most pieces within my small studio in San Francisco.
