After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute, Charly traveled around Greece and Italy studying ancient work and classic painting techniques. She has many artistic outputs, including large scale murals, paintings on canvas, and hand written poetry. This gives her the ability to create a unique and diverse body of work.
Her process begins by writing a poem then allowing her words to come to life through each painting. Building layers of transparent glazes and opaque highlights, she is able to paint realistic impressions which exhibit a strong sense of history and passion, while her soft brush strokes make each piece aesthetically pleasing. Charly enjoys recreating the raw beauty of nature and the things around her that hold a sense of calmness; whether it be light glimmering on the water or the moon rising over the mountains.
