Isuka (meaning sand in Telugu)

This vase is part of my ongoing SANDSCAPE collection which is made with mixed clays and sand that I collect on my travels around Scotland.

The sand gives every piece its own character, texture, pattern and colour. The collection captures the Scottish coastal landscape and the earthy colours of the natural environment in different seasons.

SIZE approx.
Height 10cm
Width 8cm

My work is fired to 1240°C and is therefore non porous and dishwasher safe, although hand washing is recommended to prolong the life of every piece.
