This rustic wood island was made for a rehabbed turn of the century coach house in Chicago. It is built using rustic reclaimed barn wood. I custom made the base to fit a dishwasher and sink along with shelves and drawers for storage. Most importantly providing sturdy support for the marble top. It was a beautiful addition to compliment this modern kitchen. One of a kind. One at a time.

Each piece is one of a kind and individually hand made to your exact specifications. You can have it match the sample piece shown or customize it to perfectly fit your space. Customizing options include – size, material choices, design modifications, colors, finishing options along with anything else that would make this piece exclusively yours. With all customizations, I always provide a rendering that shows all the project details along with an illustration of what the final product will look like. The reclaimed wood I use comes with its own individual story. You can see it in the grain of the wood, the natural aging of old growth timber and all the markings of where and what it used to be. By transforming these reclaimed pieces into something new, we can preserve a bit of the past well into the future. Beyond the aesthetic, I prioritize the use of these reclaimed materials as one way to balance my personal impact on the planet.
