SIZE
Throw: 60” x 60”, perfect for snuggling on the couch

MATERIALS
Top: Natural, cayenne, tan, and deep blue cotton

Binding: Cayenne cotton

Back: Unbleached cotton

Batting: Thick US-grown 100% cotton

PROCESS
Machine pieced, quilted and bound

Handmade in the USA by our talented quilters in their home studios

Each quilt is made to order just for you. Please allow 3 - 4 weeks for production.

CARE
Machine wash delicate in cold water with a gentle detergent. Tumble dry low or hang to dry.

Fabric will crinkle slightly after the first wash and will soften with use + love.

HANGING SLEEVE OPTION
Add a hanging sleeve to turn your quilt into a piece of wall art. The sleeve is made with the same fabric as the quilt back and lies flat when not hanging, so you can still use it as a quilt.

STORY
Watching the sunrise and set is a universal joy. There’s something about starting and finishing the day with natural beauty that has no substitute. During an impromptu camping trip to Big Sur, we pitched our tent on a roadside pullout in the hills overlooking Highway 1 and the Pacific Ocean. Watching the sun sink into the ocean and then waking up as it was rising over the wild hills was one of the more memorable experiences of the sun’s rise and set.

Meet the Creator
Wescover creator since 2018
Vacilando is a design and production studio dedicated to making beautiful, useful objects while modernizing the tradition of American Craftsmanship.

Raised in Texas and London by two architect parents, Laura spent several years in New York City studying art history and painting before embarking on a year-long road trip adventure around the U.S. in 2013. Six years of traveling and two Airstream later, She now calls the Texas Hill Country home.

Completely self taught (with the help of the internet), Laura discovered the medium of textiles on the road and fell in love with the utility and potential of the craft. With a couple years of quilting under her belt and a dream of designing and making quilts all day, she launched Vacilando in February of 2015.

Endlessly eager to explore new places, wander through markets, and discover interesting colors and textures in nature, Laura draws inspiration from her travels and translates them into the modern minimalist designs that Vacilando is known for.
