CHICHOIMAO is a small wood working studio founded in 2019. This Hong Kong based workshop is co-founded by one carpenter and two cats.
The name CHICHOIMAO is the pronunciation of Cantonese “自在貓”. This is hoped that our products can create harmonic and relaxing atmospheres, reflecting the life of the cats founder (Kin Kin & Ar Mei).
Our collection are separated into two lines based on its wood and color:
Kin_ produced by beech or oak or ash
Mei_ produced by black walnut
CHICHOIMAO focus on designing wooden products and small sized furniture which fits nowadays’ lifestyle. All works are designed and hand-crafted by small batch production in Hong Kong. We use solid wood and traditional joinery techniques, which gives the works an elegant look and a longer life span. CHICHOIMAO hopes our clients can enjoy the beauty of craftsmanship partnered with minimal and everlasting style. Making fine wood products with usefulness and affordable prices is the goal of CHICHOIMAO. We do both our collections and custom made orders since 2019 summer. We keep showcasing our works to the world via competitions, exhibitions, design fairs.

* We have participated in Home InStyle Fair 2023 (Hong Kong. April 2023), and have a 30 mins speech there introducing our story & works.
* We have hold solo exhibitions in Hong Kong, and participated in joint exhibitions in Taiwan. (2022 - 2023)
