Artist & glassblower... Bespoke maker & designer of pieces for private and public spaces

Emma Lashmar is a visual artist from Perth who loves the dynamic and volatile qualities of molten glass. When working in the hot-shop, Emma likes to play with the possibilities and quirks of the medium, allowing the process to shape each unique form. She finds the process of making the work meditative, appreciating the flow and flux of the fluid material and being responsive to its varying states.
Emma relishes the challenge of working on bespoke projects for private and public spaces. She has been commissioned for projects to create bespoke lighting and tableware for iconic Australian fine dining restaurants Vue de Monde, Penfolds Magill Estate and Tedesca Osteria, all of which have received awards for design. Additionally, she created a site specific installation for architect Robin Boyd's Baker House, which has been called one of the most important post war Australian residential buildings.

Her fresh homewares label “Emma Lashmar Art” launched in October 2021 and is an ever-evolving collection of one off pieces. Crafting unique and functional wares in blown glass to elevate your everyday, these pieces are designed for quiet rituals at home, and shared celebratory moments.
