Hand-crafted in the rainforests of Madagascar, Tanana brings people, nature, and design together. We transform sustainably harvested silk cocoons and raffia fiber into extraordinary products for the home.

Tanana offers hand-crafted home decor made from Madagascar wild silk cocoons & raffia. Originating from the rainforests of Madagascar, each textile is hand-crafted using sustainably sourced raw materials. For our silk pieces, wild silk cocoons are hand-gathered, steamed flat, sewn together, and hand-dyed. For our raffia pieces, the natural fiber is hand-woven on floor looms, sewn together, and hand-dyed.

Our artisan and farmer partners earn a fair wage and use sustainable farming and harvesting practices to preserve their surrounding rainforest, protecting it from deforestation. We transform renewable resources into beautiful and utterly unique products for your home or your art practice.
