I focus on creating art for the SDGs and the creation of a wellbeing society.
The artwork shown here was created by Dr. Yoshiaki Kato, former associate professor at Osaka University's Graduate School of Economics and Management, and a member of the board of directors at the University of Tokyo.
It is displayed in the laboratory of Mr. Koichi Nakagawa, a BOND-BBT MBA instructor.
This is a series of works produced for the public recording of Art and Innovation on Youtube that was held at the time of the handover.
In receiving and reading through several of Mr. Nakagawa's books, we realized that contemporary art is the most sensible innovation in terms of renewing culture, and we wanted to give form to this idea.
I also came to the conclusion through my research that contemporary art is a tool to capture the times, which is very similar to the thinking of an innovator who starts a business.
I originally majored in business administration in college. Contemporary art is the most sensitive innovation in terms of sensing what is required in the current era and presenting it to society with a new sense of value that has never existed before. As a creator of culture, I believe that our future will be richer if we are able to output our work and stimulate the sensibility of innovators of the new era. We hope you will enjoy our works from various angles.
Some key words about the work are listed below. I hope you will interpret them as you like and enjoy the work.
A new and unprecedented style that combines Russian Rayonism and Japanese Zen art.
The coloring is red, black, and white from the Russian Revolutionary period.
The work reflects the childhood experience of being bullied due to one's appearance, which is essential to the achievement of the contemporary SDGs No. 10 and No. 16 to eliminate racial discrimination and grievances against people and nations.
