DROPS has been a 7-year project, (and an adventure!) following the contours of news and of waters on our one fragile planet.
Each photographic print in this collection depicts an object--a unique dimensional "imaginary real" water DROP. "Padma" (Bangladesh) is #850 in THE DROPS COLLECTION of 1000 works designed over time with acrylic medium, film, pencil and ink, contained and protected by a glass Petri dish. The lid of the dish is removed for the photography of each DROP. In some images you might detect a hint of the engraved number in the glass. You'll notice that the glass Petri dish holding each DROP "frames" the artwork and often reflects color intensities accentuated by photographer T Maxwell Wagner's light source.
I'm so happy to be partnering with Dolphin Archival Printing in Kansas City for your print orders. Your selections will be printed on Canson Infinity Platine Fibre Rag which offers an exquisite satin surface. Your print will arrive unmounted. There will be an extra 1 inch white border beyond the printed image to facilitate matting and framing.
