The work was created by passing the paper through the press with 3 separate plates. I explore layering shapes to create new shapes and colors that I cannot think of myself. The process of printmaking allows for the unexpected to occur - which is one of the reasons I like it so much!
The monotype image is 12 x 8" on paper which is 22 x 15". The paper can be trimmed - I print on a larger paper to make the process easier. The paper margin is excessive so if you would like it trimmed to a specific size please request that option. I am happy to oblige!
