I believe art has a way of calming the soul, inspiring us, and reminding us to appreciate the world around us with new eyes. Painting has always been an integral part of who I am as a person, and an essential way I express myself. Having grown up in Ontario, Canada, often visiting "cottage country" with my family, I learned to treasure the natural beauty in this world, capturing it on canvas. Now, living in gorgeous British Columbia with my husband, I've embraced the ocean, ancient rain forests and mountainous terrain here as a new source of inspiration for my work. I create fine art full-time from my home studio in New Westminster (close to Vancouver, BC), with my cats as my "colleagues," and use an array of painterly, textural, and digital mediums to create my vast portfolio of fine art paintings and prints. I also do commissioned pieces on request; I savor every opportunity to tailor my work to client's project needs, helping them bring meaningful art into their spaces and lives, as well.
