I was inspired by the eye-catching colors and playful patterns found in my wardrobe for this rich oil on canvas painting; the dresses' boldness creates a fascinating contrast with the grey striped wall behind. Ships unframed, wired and ready to hang.
A figurative and abstract painter and mixed media work, my work is very loose, bold, colorful and "energetic"... (a friend described my work as energetic and I was delighted by that). I generally use large canvas and most of my paintings have some texture. For the commissions I have done, I work closely with the client and send frequent photos of the work in process so they can give feedback and ultimately get just what they wanted.
