About: Absolutely STUNNING Over-sized long Tribal runner that has so many unusual and noteworthy elements it's not even funny! First, we can talk about the length/width ratio - where are you going to find this long of a runner at only 3 feet wide?! Usually the longer the rug, the wider the rug - but this goes against all the rules and stands to be a narrow and long runner that is perfect for most long hallways. Second, the plush pile on this is incredible offering the feet some wonderful wool to walk on and the eyes some great sheen and glow to witness as the lanolin in the wool is great for this piece. Third, the COLORS! Deep and moody variations of indigo to midnight blue to inky blue-black and navy to the navy. Very rich reds, an unusual saffron-sunflower yellow, icy blues, and this Spring Green that will light your eyes up! This green is a phenomenal green that speaks to you on all levels - we don't see much green in old rugs because it was the most difficult dye to dye, so when we see it we are always drawn towards it, for good reason. Fourth, the design of this rug is unbelievably unique. From a quick glance, you see an all-over design with beautiful filled motifs and geometric elements throughout - but if you look closely, you will see the outlines of iconic Northwest Tribal medallions taking shape. It is hard to identify because these medallions are the same color as the background/field color of the rug (which in itself is unique). It's pieces like this where the more you know, and the more you learn, the more you start to see the complexity and uniqueness - which in turn starts to grow the appreciation for the artisans that created this gem. This piece is very Ralph Lauren-y, meaning moody, sophisticated, and relentlessly beautiful! You will LOVE this piece.

This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available.

Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.

We always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding.
