About this one-of-a-kind mountain painting:
Size: 13.78 inches high and 9.84 inches wide on stretched canvas, ready for hanging, no frame included. (Any frames that are eventually shown on photos are for your inspiration only)
"Moonlight Mountain Vista“ on stretched canvas, ready to hang! This original painting is part of my Tokyo Echoes Collection. I started my work on this project in my time of study in Japan and continued my research in NYC, San Francisco, and Boston.
A modern abstract fantasy landscape. Exploring the connection of love for nature and wilderness, the mountains, forest, the animals and the plants in a positive and hopeful, but at the same time on a different layer, trauma-like vision in which the fear of doom but certainly of the threat to nature resonates within. From this vibration arises an energy that gives nature all the force to oppose the threat of man, pollution, climate change, etc..
Nothing was planned, the work has emerged from itself. This work was created in an intense period of alternating meditation and painting.

About the artist JVS:
„In order to see ourselves clearly in the here and now, it is important to understand why we had already made the decisions manifesting here, long before. It is not enough to look at the moment to understand what is happening. The sum of our decisions, made aeons ago, draw our collective reality (and our individual reality).
Social conditions limit the unlimited space. The collective consciousness is present to foster creativity in order to overcome the limits and restraints build by injustice and unfair social conditions.
The pursuit of truth in freedom, for freedom's sake - I lost, but was not defeated, grew stronger, became more aware, became more grateful. I won, but I am not a winner.“ JVS
His works establish a link between the landscape’s reality and that imagined by its conceiver. These works focus on concrete questions that determine our existence. By applying a poetic and often metaphorical language, he creates intense personal moments created by means of rules and omissions, acceptance and refusal, luring the viewer round and round in circles.
His works demonstrate how life extends beyond its own subjective limits and often tells a story about the effects of global cultural interaction over the latter half of the twentieth century. It challenges the binaries we continually reconstruct between Self and Other, between our own ‘cannibal’ and ‘civilized’ selves. By applying abstraction, he wants to amplify the astonishment of the spectator by creating compositions or settings that generate tranquil poetic images that leave traces and balances on the edge of recognition and alienation.
