This painting came to be when I challenged myself to paint abstract florals with my paintbrushes attached to long sticks so I had less to no control over precision. I love the movement in the greenery and blossoms.

I am driven to create work that beckons me into the sublime, that place where emotion holds dominance over vocabulary, by distilling nature into abstract form.

As a contemporary artist, I am inspired by the balance between precision and freedom. My work is influenced by my extensive travels, love of nature, and living along the coast of Rhode Island. 

My paintings, installations, sculptures, and large-scale photographic works are characterized by organic forms and the use of nontraditional materials.

My most recent paintings, "Metamorphosis and Stasis Collections," are poetic. In sophisticated color palettes, their graceful sculptural and curvilinear forms seem to float in the atmosphere.
