This morning, there's a chill on the air. There are faint smells of spring beginning to creep in, but winter is still clinging on to anything she can grasp. The sun is trying its best to cut through the mist, casting weak shadows where it can, and slowly, slowly warming your chilly nose. You slowly creep forward to get a better view, and the mama sheep stops munching her grass, raising her head with a start to keep one eye on you and one on her precocious lamb. The other sheep in the field don't seem to notice you, continuing their morning routines. You keep on walking, starting to warm up despite your cold hands and ears, and leave the mama to finish her breakfast.

Landscape artist bringing light and nature into your space

I'm an American painter born and raised in Virginia, and I recently spent 3 glorious years living in the English countryside with my husband and our two boys. Creating allows me to breathe and feel truly grounded more than anything else- it is a part of who I am.


During our time in the UK, I was endlessly inspired by the landscapes of that incredible island. I draw most of my inspiration from nature, especially from our travels in the UK and on the European mainland, but also from the beautiful scenes in my hometown on the East Coast. Mountains, water, woods, and big skies are where I feel most at home. I believe the beauty of nature should be brought inside our homes and workspaces- to breathe life, peace, and glory into our everyday lives.
