I created this 44x85 live edge wood river mirror from a slab that was milled from a Maple tree that was charred in a Oregon wildfire several years ago. I preserved the charges areas and finished the Maple wood in a grey pigmented hardwax to accent the contrast and rustic smokey vibes of the natural wood. My favorite thing about this piece is the way the charred live edges reflect in the mirror.
The wood slabs are 2" thick and the 1/4" thick mirror has been inlayed flush into the backside and set in adhesive and secured with steel straps across the back. This piece can stand vertically utilizing a wall strap to secure to the wall to avoid any tipping over, or I can add metal wall mount cleats to mount horizontal on a wall.
This piece is extremely heavy and will require freight with white glove, which is included in the price. My wood shop is based in Phoenix near Skyharbor airport if you are local and would like to avoid shipping and see the piece in person.
