Lineament is a fully upholstered, conversation style, chair. This uses the silhouette of a face to create an unexpected three dimensional shape that you directly interact with when sitting on the chair. The standard colors are a deep poppy red and grey and red plaid pattern. The red upholstery has a wool like texture and the plaid has a tightly woven texture. It sits on small black wooden feet. The inner frame is built from scratch in our wood shop here in Massachusetts. We upholster them ourselves complete with hand-stitched finishing touches. This chair would pair well in a room with the Facestool ottoman.

All of our furniture is made to order and you should expect about a 3 week lead time before shipping. We’re always happy to talk about custom fabric, and feet colors to make these objects fit in well with your home. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or requests no matter how small.

Made Cozy is a small, Massachusetts-based company that explores the cross-section of traditional crafting techniques and modern design in furniture and other household objects. We value products that are built to last and have a timeless yet playful aesthetic. We aim to blur the lines between sculpture and fine furniture.

Made:Cozy is owned and operated by Haviland Justice and Oliver Reams. We met as design students at Hampshire College. Wanting to find a way to design products that depart from an increasingly disposable mindset we drew inspiration from the relationships children have with their favorite stuffed animals. We thought back to how our favorite toys were washed when dirty, mended when torn, and kept safe to be passed down. We found this was because our favorite toys gave us a cozy feeling.


We want our products to bring that same feeling into adults' lives. We design and choose products that will not only be beautiful and long lasting but will give you that desire to care for and keep them because, after-all, they make you feel cozy.

Haviland ran a local reupholstery business for 6 years under the same name (Made:Cozy) and recently transitioned the business into this one where she gets to showcase the more sculptural side of furniture by designing and making a line furniture (and smaller home goods). We invite you to explore our online shop where we sell household objects. Our products are all designed in house and either made in our studio or with the help of local factories, artists, and craftspeople.

Our mission is to bring back lost hand skills to the world and make our products with transparency. We want to blend functionality with elegance and durability. The materials that we bring together are long lasting. We strive to make all aspects of our objects with materials that are sourced from sustainable and ethical places. We aim to fully understand materials and how they can be shaped to leave our customers feeling cozy and connected to our products.
