This painting in a very commanding piece with a very demure size.
After receiving my Degree in fine Art, I collaborated w/ my Mother Kay Sullivan in creating flowing visually weightless, sophisticated imagery using the very refined Japanese handmade Washi paper painted w/ acrylics.
We were very successful thru-out all the biggest and best exhibitions and Shows in America in the late 70's to 1999.
The day my Mother passed, I archived all of our work...until now.
This is why some of these intimate format pieces are signed "Kay Sullivan" and others are signed "Jan Sullivan Fowler". I'm including these matted and unmatted pieces w/ prices reflective of days past, for I am now on to much larger Art formats. If the piece is matted, I selected the color and matted it myself.
Japanese handmade Washi paper is an amazing natural substance, with unmatched qualities that reveal themselves in very unique and beautiful ways.
