Ephemeral Public Artwork
Cooke-Sasseville 2021
Polystyrene, fiberglass, wood
We have deliberately created a visual enigma by placing various symbols that are easily identifiable by the public in relation to each other. Thus, the apple of knowledge, this forbidden fruit, rubs shoulders with disturbing and oversized characters echoing the comic book universe. The narrative of this ephemeral work uses the codes of the detective story by relying on an intrigue where the improbable mixes with the uncomfortable, where the spectator becomes the witness of a curious activity with an interloped look.
