On-edge Paper Art

JUDiTH+ROLFE is a bespoke paper art studio, currently based in the suburbs just outside of Richmond, Virginia.

Daphne Lee is the artisan behind JUDiTH+ROLFE, she is a Singaporean-born Chinese paper artist who specializes in creating contemporary dimensional artwork out of on-edge paper strips.

After graduating with a bachelor of architecture degree from Cornell University, and subsequently building a decade-long career as an architect in New York City, she fortuitously discovered her love of paper crafting after creating some personalized handmade gifts out of paper. The studio was launched in 2016 following a move to Minneapolis–Saint Paul, and has since relocated to Virginia. Her work is inspired by the beauty in nature, light and shadow, architecture and geometry.

JUDiTH+ROLFE artwork has been exhibited in galleries and museums, and can also be found in private collections all around the world. The work has been featured on media outlets such as Twin Cities PBS and Colossal. In addition to fine art commissions, JUDiTH+ROLFE has also collaborated with and worked on installations for corporate clients. Select clients include Allbirds, Estée Lauder, Fiskars, Hoegaarden, and Marriott International.
