Nine Dot Arts and the Kenect team reached out about painting a 2nd wall in their lobby that is set to be temporary while they build out their retail space.
The space is beautiful, like a massive gallery that will serve as the main lobby to a residential high-rise in midtown Nashville, TN.
For this piece they wanted to me to create one of my wild style word collage pieces that incorporate taking a ton of words and creating a freestyle collage/ jumble of words, iconography, shapes and whatever comes to mind while painting. The Kenect team gave me a list of words and phrases all having to do with what the building offers as well as notable neighborhoods and sites around Nashville.
I don’t get to do this style too often but it’s always fun because of the element of free flowing which brings me back to my graffiti days and is a total contrast from my geometric gradient work.
